Alyssa Catholdi
Primary Education Tutor
Hello! My name is Alyssa (she/her/hers) and I am joining the Sammie Allen team as a primary tutor.
I recently graduated from the University of York with a Masters in Social Justice and Education and have a Bachelors in Childhood/Special Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo in the United States. I have 4 years of experience creating, teaching and differentiating primary-level maths, English and history lessons using hands-on, research-based learning strategies to support students with a wide-range of abilities, including students with ADHD, Autism and social, emotional and mental health support needs.
As a younger teacher, I enjoy thinking outside the box, trying new things and using technology to support learning. Furthermore, I strive to facilitate a safe space that celebrates diversity and empowers students to reach their full potential. Everyone is unique, so it is important that I build rapport with each child, beyond their identity as a student, as well as identifying their strengths and needs to ensure I can provide them with the best strategies to succeed.
