Learn With SAT is a Leeds based tutoring agency that specialises in home education and SEN provision for primary and secondary education. Over the past 5 years since we opened, we have helped students as far as Indonesia work towards their exams with excellent results! Many of our clients are home educated or have SENs so we work alongside health care professionals and schools to successfully support and reintegrate students. Alongside this, SAT tutors prepare students for exams such as their GCSEs and A-Levels via 1-to-1 tuition online, or in-home.

Education Assistant
Job description
An opportunity has become available to work with a neurodivergent young person as an education assistant in the Wakefield area.
You will be working both in the young person’s family home and across the wider community. As part of this role, you will be working on a one-to-one basis with the young person, supporting them to access a range of indoor and outdoor activities and develop daily living skills.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a package of provision which meets the outcomes of the young person's EHCP, so strong communication and organisation skills are a must.
Requirements
● Must be calm and flexible, with a positive and friendly demeanour
● Must have experience and confidence in supporting neurodivergent young
people, particularly those with anxiety and trauma
● Must have a car that can be used as part of the role (mileage will be paid)
● Must have experience working with young persons who have barriers to
education and social situations
● Ideal to have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team, reporting to teachers /package coordinators through written and verbal mediums
● Ideal to have experience supporting a young person’s preparation for adulthood
Qualifications/Licenses
● A full, clean driver’s license and car. Non-drivers should not apply for this role.
● Desirable to have a teaching assistant (or equivalent) qualification
● Desirable to have a level 1 safeguarding qualification - will be provided as part of the role if not
● Ideal to have an advanced DBS check on the update service, but this will be
provided if not
● Ideal to have a first aid training qualification, but this will be provided if not
