Learn With SAT is a tutoring agency that specialises in home education and SEN provision for primary and secondary education, as well as providing top-up tuition.

Over the past 5 years since we opened, we have helped students as far as Indonesia work towards their exams. Many of our clients are home educated or have SENDs so we work alongside health care professionals and schools to successfully support and reintegrate students. Alongside this, SAT tutors prepare students for exams such as their GCSEs and A-Levels via 1:1 tuition online.

The roll

We are looking for Maths Tutors to support students with providing tuition on a 1:1 basis, face-to-face in Trafford. You should be expected to be able to create bespoke curriculums for these students, based on their preferred learning style and interests. Tutors should be patient, professional, bright and intuitive.

Within this role you should have experience supporting students with needs and must have experience supporting young people with physical challenges and fatigue. They must therefore have an understanding of the difference between general tiredness and chronic fatigue, and understand that the student will require fluctuating levels of support depending on their daily abilities.

The tutorials will most likely take place during the day, so the tutor should have some availability, Monday - Friday during the day and evenings, however there is some flexibility and open to different availability.

At Learn With SAT we recognise that all students are different and therefore will require different levels of intervention. You should expect that your weekly hours will fluctuate depending on enquiries and demand. Unfortunately, we are not able to specify a set amount of hours per week, however we endeavour to give you as many opportunities as we can.

Requirements:

• Must be enthusiastic and passionate in all tutorials

• Must be punctual and well organised

• Must have an Enhanced DBS on The Update Service

• Must have experience of following a national curriculum

• Enjoy inspiring students and seeing progress in their results

• Enhanced DBS checked on The Update Service

• A BSc/BA minimum in your chosen teaching subject

• At least 2 years tutoring experience

• Must hold QTS

• Desirable to have safeguarding training at Level 1 minimum

• Desirable to have experience tutoring children with SEN
