Hello, future learners! I'm George, a passionate tutor eager to embark on an educational journey with you. With a background in Law and a love for subjects like History, Geography, Psychology, and English, I'm here to help you unlock your full potential. I am a postgraduate Law student currently studying the bar, and a legal masters, at Northumbria University. I have an upper second-class degree in Law from the University of Warwick and Queen's University, Canada.

I have experience of teaching AQA and OCR, previously working in an academy and sixth form working as a cover supervisor. During my time there I expanded my knowledge and skills in many different subjects, until specialising in the teaching of Humanity subjects and English full time. During this time, I held revision sessions, and one-on-one sessions, for students of all abilities, assisting students studying for GCSE, A Levels, whilst helping younger students with their reading ability.

I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential. Every learner is unique, and I believe in creating tailored learning experiences to suit individual needs. My experience working with students with SEN has equipped me with the skills to adapt my teaching style accordingly. I'm committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive.

I am very passionate about teaching, especially for my chosen subjects, always keen on learning more myself. I believe that Geography and History are essential for developing a strong understanding of our world. These subjects empower young people to think critically, question the world around them, and develop a sense of global citizenship. I believe English helps to broaden the mind; engaging students with hidden meanings, whilst encouraging self-reflection and increasing understanding within other subjects. 

When I am not teaching, or studying myself, I enjoy to take the time to enjoy my own hobbies. I enjoy listening to music and practicing my bass guitar, reading fiction of many genres - my favourite book being 11.22.63 by Stephen King – playing video games with my friends, or taking the time to travel. As of writing this, I have lived in multiple places abroad, most recently studying in Canada and working in San Francisco.
