Hello, my name is Abbas and I am a qualified science teacher with a specialism in Biology and Chemistry. I graduated with a degree in (BSc) Pharmaceutical Science and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a short period of time developing and researching new drugs. I then embarked upon a career change and completed my PGCE at Leeds University with a specialism in secondary science/biology in 2011. 

Since then, I have worked in both secondary schools and FE colleges in the UK and internationally teaching KS3 Science, GCSE Sciences and A-level Biology. Since I have committed to teaching my specialist subjects for the past 10 years of my teaching career this has allowed me to excel in my subject knowledge and become an expert in various exam boards including AQA, EdExcel and IGCSE to name a few. Coupled with private tutoring for more than 7 years (UK and Internationally) and an innate ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple way, my tutees are provided with excellent subject knowledge. I always endeavour to provide my tutees with fun, high quality and stimulating lessons so they can make significant progress over a short period of time. Also, as protocol I always provide timely and constructive feedback to close any loopholes in my tutees learning. I am extremely student centred so making sure tutees and parents are getting a focused and dedicated tutoring session is my utmost priority. 

Having worked worldwide I have an excellent record of developing a friendly and positive rapport with both my tutees and their parents. With regular feedback provided- parents are always in the loop regarding their child’s learning journey. In my spare time I love to get outdoors with my wife and 3 young children with walks and hiking usually on the agenda!
