Elmira Nikoukar

I have a BA (Hons) English Literature and a PGCE in Primary Education with QTS. I acquired both of these qualifications at Staffordshire University. Until last year, I lived and worked in Kuwait, at a private British school for 4 years, teaching the British national curriculum to KS2 students. Alongside this, I also did private online tuition, too.
 

I am currently working part-time as a class teacher and supporting some students with additional needs, too. These needs vary, from those with ASD and SEMH. I truly find this role rewarding!
 

I love teaching all primary age groups and subjects, but in particular Maths, English and Science. I enjoy being able to teach a bank of methods for finding solutions to problems, thus encouraging students to select one that they are most confident in applying. My approach to planning lessons is to make lessons child-centred, fun and as practical and relevant to real-life as I can. I believe that students relate and retain concepts better this way.
