Rachel Crosbie
Primary Education Tutor
About Me
Hello, my name is Rachel. I am a qualified primary school teacher with over fifteen years experience teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The past three years I have left mainstream teaching to focus on tutoring and work with mainly with Primary children and KS3 English. I offer bespoke tutoring services to a range of children most of whom are home educated and SEN children.
I am a qualified SENco and have a huge passion in working with SEN children and their families. I strongly believe in building relationships with pupils and their families/carers which in turn leads to trust, confidence and a self-belief from the children - the building blocks for learning – children then develop a positive mindset and begin to believe they ‘CAN DO IT’ – an attitude which supports moving forward in their learning.
I am passionate about assisting all young people in having access to education. I offer support in all areas of the primary curriculum including phonics, Maths, English, Year 2 and 6 SATs, KS3 English and I can support in the transitioning from KS2 to KS3. I aim to deliver sessions in a fun and engaging manner tailored to suit the needs of the individual child. I am hugely patient and supportive showing sympathy and understanding to those finding education challenging. I am very happy to be joining the team at SAT and very much look forward to assisting many more families in the future.
