Shelley Currie

Hello! My name is Shelley and I am joining the Learn with SAT as a secondary MFL tutor.

 

I am an enthusiastic Tutor of Languages, specialising in Spanish and French with over 10 years of experience working in Secondary education. I have in depth knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum for Languages, including a wealth of experience teaching and marking for both AQA and Edexcel at GCSE. 
 

I have both PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status which I gained in 2015 through the Schools Direct route. I am currently running French clubs in primary and nursery settings and works as a Specialist ASC Study Skills Tutor and Mentor supporting neurodivergent students at university.
 

I am passionate about my subjects and have an engaging teaching style which is tailored to individual needs. I pride myself on my ability to build a good rapport with my students and keep them motivated. I have detailed knowledge of exam criteria and online KS4 tutoring experience in both languages and can support students to improve and build confidence in the four main skills to thoroughly prepare them for their GCSE exams.
