Megan Somers

I absolutely love science and I have studied many of its fields. I have a BSc with honours in Biological Sciences. I have carried out tropical ecology research in Eswatini, nutritional research in the laboratories of the Quadram Institute (Norwich) and I have also edited a plant biology article which was published in the European Journal of Forest Research.
 

I have tutored since I was at college myself, starting with French tutoring, as I love to help students overcome all boundaries and reach their full potential. I did a PGCE specialising in Biology and I have my QTS certificate. I was a secondary school and college science teacher, which taught me how to best prepare students for the classroom and exams. I know how to make difficult concepts easier to digest and I create a calm, safe and fun learning environment.

 

I have taught many EFL and SEND students of all ages, each facing unique challenges. I will work with home and school (if applicable) so that you receive the best support from me. I am highly passionate about inclusivity and celebrating diversity in education, and I look forward to celebrating your individuality with you!
